For the last 15 years, AVI International has been offering ROUTARD INSURANCE in coordination with the French Guide du Routard.
Besides, AVI International insures members of the CNRS and Spanish Labor Ministry on international travel.
In 2008, the SPB group took over the main part of the share-holding in AVI International's capital. Both companies work with affinity insurance and have interesting complementarities.
Who are AVI International customers?
At first, most customers were French linguistic stays organizers that insured language study stays abroad. Over the years, the customers have diversified: In addition to the French customers, the insured participants come mainly from Western Europe, Eastern Europe, South America and Asia.
What are the highlights of your offer?
AVI International became famous essentialy thanks to 2 main products. The first one was named Routard Insurance after AVI's friendly collaboration with the French travel book Le Guide du routard since 1982. It covers travel from 1 week up to 8. The second one, Marco Polo insurance is very popular for round the world trips, it can cover travel from 2 months to 1 year. A strong specificity of AVI International since coverage for trips beyond 90 days are almost non-existant on the insurance market.
How do you communicate with your "nomad" insured?
Our Emergency Center is operated 7 days /week, 24 hours /day, our staff is multi-lingual and familiar with emergency cases, working permanently with a network of qualified professionals.
